His Excellency the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Nabih Berri, cabled to the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, offering his condolences to the victims of the accident that occurred at the “Ras Laffan” factory in Qatar. The text of the telegram stated: “His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the honorable Emir of the State of Qatar, greetings, in my name and in the name of the Lebanese Parliament, we extend, through your Highness and through you, to the brotherly Qatari people and to the families of the victims who fell as a result of the painful accident at the Ras Laffan factory, with our deepest condolences and sympathy, asking the dear Almighty God for mercy for the victims, for their families, and for your Highness patience and solace. May the wounded recover quickly, and may Qatar have peace, security, progress and stability.”
